SHAPE SHIFT

A solo exhibition at YOKE Hair Salon, Plymouth

Art, with shampoo included.

SHAPESHIFT brings together a collection of one-off, hand-pulled screenprints exploring the female form through photographic collage, fragmentation, halftones and layers of colour.

The work plays with shifting perspectives, breaking apart and reassembling familiar imagery to create something new. Each print has developed through an experimental process of cutting, layering, exposing and printing, allowing unexpected details and imperfections to become part of the finished work.

Exhibited at YOKE Hair Salon in Plymouth, the prints find themselves amongst the everyday rituals of washing, cutting, styling and conversation. I love the idea of artwork being encountered unexpectedly, becoming part of someone's day rather than something they have deliberately gone to see.

SHAPESHIFT is on display at YOKE Hair Salon, Plymouth.
